Public transportation is recommended:
  • Tram No 5, stop Kultūru vidusskola – 50m to the Event Centre – schedule
  • Bus No 2, stop Pētersalas iela – 250m – schedule
  • Trolleybus No 19, stop Pētersalas iela (final stop) – 300m – schedule

Automobile parking available at the business park "Ganibu dambis", address: Ganibu dambis 7A:
  • at the entrance, get a free parking pass from organisers, place it on the windscreen
  • park the car following follow the organisers' directions 
  • number of parking places is limited

11:00 - 12:30 Start, by draw (free starting time for open classes)

M/W Elite – the best orienteers, no age limit
Age classes: M/W – 12, 14, 16, 18, 21, 35, 45, 55, 65, 75
Open classes: OPEN-S (short course), OPEN-L (long course)

Courses, starting order, punching

Foot orienteering, Sprint course

For Elite and Age Classes

Starting order by draw – startlist 
Starting interval 1 minute
SportIdent punching – in contactless mode (SIAC card needed) or in classic mode (any other SI card valid) 
Winning times for all courses 12-15 min.

For Open Classes

Free starting time between 11:00 and 12:30
SportIdent punching
Competitors register online or at the Event Centre, and choose between 2 courses: OPEN-S (short course), OPEN-L (long course)

Measured around impassable features.

Terrain: streets, urban areas, yards, parks, recreational areas
Map: made in 2013, renewed in 2018, map specification ISSOM-2007, scale 1:4000, contours 2m, map size A4 (21 x 29.7 cm)

Dangerous Areas

Traffic will not be stopped during competition. The competitors should pay attention to traffic when running in the streets. When crossing the streets, please, make sure there is no traffic! For the classes WE, ME, M16, M18, M21, M35, M45, the courses cross a tram line (3 trams per hour).
Riga Municipality requirement – competitors shall follow the traffic rules!


For Elite and Age classes – accepted from 1 February to 28 March on the LOF registration site.
For open classes – accepted from 1 February to 28 March on the LOF registration site or at the Event Center on the competition day.

Discounted entry fee – for competitors who register and pay entry fee by bank transfer to the bank account of OK Mona on/before 28 March.
Legal persons can request invoice at parks@mona.lv. Please,specify your payment details.
Regular entry fee – for competitors, who register on/before 28 March, and pay entry fee by cash on the day of competition (open classes may register on the day of competition).
Late entry fee – for competitors who have missed the entry deadline of 28 March (registration for vacancies only).
To register changes for an entered competitor on the day of competition:
  • change of competitor, change of class € 2.00;
  • change of SI-card number – free of charge.
In the case of no-show, the entered competitors pay 50%.
For open classes OPEN-S and OPEN-L competitors register at the day of competition, and make cash payment, or they can register/pay online before/on 28 March.
* In the case of a lost SPORTident card the competitor shall pay: € 47 for lost SI-card and € 62 for lost SIAC card.


  • to the winners of first six places in Elite classes, and
  • to the winners of first three places in the Age classes.

Special Rules
Competitors participate at their own risk.
Competitors are not allowed in the competition area before the start; competitors are only allowed in the Event Center and warm-up area before the start.
Competitors are responsible for observing the correct starting times.
Competitors who have finished their courses may not contact the competitors who have not started yet!

Other information

Sprint competitors may register also for Trail-O. They will be offered late Trail-O starting times – after finishing the sprint course.
